I tend to "obsess" over the differences between the subtitles and the spoken dialogue. It is a bit weird, but I agree with Viv: sometimes it's funny too.
Not really weird, just distracted b/c I'm always comparing the translation to the dialogue.
for me, that only happens if it's an action movie. if it's like a romantic comedy type of movie, it doesn't affect my perception of the "real-ness" of the movie.
Not at all... even if I understand the language it doesn't mean I can clearly hear/understand the actors.
I've seen a few American movies on a winamp channel subtitled in Russian.That seemed different.
Why would I its called closed captioning..
Yes, I understand a bit of Spanish & Italian & sometimes the subtitles don't match what the actor says. I've laughed at a really bad subtitle at a point when neither the subtitle nor what the actor said were intended to be funny.
