there are so many things to worry about besides age. What kind of person he/she is. Do they make you happy. Love shouldn't be lowered to age, gender, race etc. Love is love and we need more love in the world not hate and prejudice.

Age is mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

I find my bf has a harder time with our ages than I do..... I occasionally hear him say... "I wonder what she wants with an old guy like me anyway".... or he seems to feel the need to explain his actions to me .. or to tell me why hes not in the mood to have sex... I know he thinks I look at him as being old ... but thats truly not the case :)... he makes me very happy

He is 47, I am 27...

My mother says we are gross, but I just remind her I'm adult and did not ask for her opinion and recommend that she shut her cake hole.... if figure if people are uncomfortable with the relationships I am having with people other than them...... they should mind their business...

oh c'mon. ive heard more stories from age issues like that.. some like dating 15 years younger than him. still, they lived happily married. i believe that there's no limit between two people loving each other.

It does depend on the two ages. And, for compatibility, experiences in life.
If I'd dated my guy when I was 17, it would have been a huge gap. Now, at 41 and 48, not so much.

My wife's 10 years younger than me. If you're compatable it will work. Being the oler sister in a house of 3 children, she's been very mature from a young age and has always taken care of her younger siblings. And 3 years difference is kind of normal in my opinion.

I am guessing from your blocked profile you are under 18? If I am wrong then I don't care and nothing is wrong with it.

Who is going to notice a 3 year difference? I have to say that in my life age does matter though.

I had a lot of 30+ guys trying to date me, and that was a little irritating. They would call themselves "old" and then look at me wistfully. :/

I agree with honey624, if you're happy then it's no one elses business, 3 years seems pretty normal to me. I've dated guys 4 years younger than me and up to 30 years older than me, my first husband was 9 years older than me. My dad is 14 years older than my mum and they've been together since she was 17 and he was 31, they're now 60 and 74. I don't see any problem with any age difference as long as the relationship is between 2 consenting adults. If you were pre-teen and dating someone in their 20's I'd say that was a problem.

well.. normally I don't think 3 years is anything.. but how old are you? Are you 16 or are you younger? If you are 16 and he is 19 I think the problem is that you are not considered legal...
I wouldn't have a problem with my 16 year old dating a 19 year old as long as I knew the guy and he was respectful and treated my daughter with respect.

The only time I see trouble is if you're UNDER-aged -- as in, prepubescent kind of under-aged. Then there's a real problem, yes.

But as long as neither of you are CHILDREN, then it absolutely doesn't matter, no. Of course, some people will always think so, but whatever.
