Do you hate when someone is too ignorant to look at a other side of things?

Ya know like one religion vrs another or with politics. it bothers me sooo bad. For instance I am a christian but I like hearing what other people believe in and why because it makes this world unique. Im a conservative but I like hearing what a liberal thinks because the thing is you never know when you can learn something to help you or enlighten you. If you are closed up and to insecure to even hear the other side it just makes you uninformed and ignorant in my opinion. How do you all feel about it? Or if your a person who won't listen to the other side, why won't you? Thanks in advance :)

ps, I dont mean you have to agree with the other side, I just mean atleast hear it out cause you just never know.

MrsIcb4rP	Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 9:35PM no it just means they are passionate & stand by their issue. some people are not necessarily closed minded. they'll talk to you. they'll debate with you. they'll argue with you. they'll fight with you. what they won't do is act like something they disagree with makes sense because it doesn't in their frame of reference. they have no desire to understand & they have that right. they just guard their beliefs from outside influence because that's their stance & they are stickin to it. what i do is let those people feel, think & believe what they will. leopards don't change their spots. ignorance is not knowing. people know the other side of the coin, they just aren't on it. littlelaydee	Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 8:58PM i am super liberal. I can go both ways about a lot of things. I dont think one thing can be the only way. We all believe different things, and thats ok. Thats why we are all different. If I don't care to hear someones side of something for whatever reason, I don't argue, I just listen or walk away. Rated: +1Vote for this!

It's when they willfully refuse to educate themselves and stick their head in the sand that frustrates me. Also, everyone is entitled to their opinion. What I can't stand is when a person is so obstinate in their opinion and have such utter contempt and disrespect for the other side, that the only way to express themselves is by attacking and insulting the other side, rather than present the valid reasons for their own views.
