WAY back in the 1960's I had a pen pal who was a HUGE fan of Marilyn Monroe's, as am I........He lived in the Bronx and we wrote back and forth for many months......

He actually got to see her one time at a premiere.....he was late, & the sidewalk was jammed all the way out to the curb.....'oh hell' he thought, "she's probably already gone inside'......just then a limo pulled up, not 2 feet away from where he was standing..someone opened the door, and GUESS WHO was there?? he was flabbergasted to be able to see her so close up.....he told her 'you look beautiful' and she thanked him......now you have to picture this; photographers are swarming all over, and flashbulbs are going off a mile a minute; he said it was almost blinding.....and here's the part I like best; pro that she was at dealing with photographers, he watched in utter amazement as each move she made, to get out of the limo, was a POSE.....like freeze fr<x>ames!! he was amazed to see this......since she knew she had no control over what photos were to be used, by posing at each move she made, she at least knew there couldn't be too many bad shots of her!!!!!!!

He said it was one of the most incredible moments in his life!!

and if you're a 'fan' of anyone, you'll understand this!!!
