Resolved Question

Do you have trouble sleeping and why?

I can't freakin' sleep and I'm in zombie mode! I have horrid dreams and wake with the feeling that someone is standing either above me or in my room.

Yeah, I've had that a couple of times too. Do you feel temporarily paralysed when you wake up after those nightmares? If so, it's called sleep paralysis.

I can't sleep till about 4:00am nowadays, so I'm a zombie when I have to wake up early too. I might have something called delayed sleep phase syndrome, but I'm not sure.

My anxiety level is way up right now. So I have been having trouble sleeping. But even when things are normal, I can't sleep unless I have the TV on. It distracts me. If I try to sleep in a quiet room, I'll never get there....

Yes, because I'm an alcoholic. I wake alot, even when I don't drink. I don't generally have nightmares. I have bloody, violent dreams, but they don't scare me. I get scary dreams aout confusion, and just general I-Don't-Know ****.Somethin is happening, an I don't know why, or what is happening.

As I've often said before, sharp, little needle-like cat claws to the face are not conducive to a good night's sleep.

I am actually sleeping better than normal latly. I either go to sleep at twelve and wake up at 5.30 or go to bed at 10.30 and wake up at 3.

I was a lot worse before. I'd go to sleep at twelve and wake up at 2 or 3. Soemtimes I didn't even make that! My worst sleep was when I got less than an hour in two nights. (That was on boot camp, Googa)

Nearly all my life. I am one of those "highly stressed" people. Most of it is my own fault. I worry about things that I have no control over. I've used white noise, nature sounds, sleeping pills etc.... Even sheer exhaustion does not work I only cat-nap. My Dr does not know what to do with me.

I've had trouble sleeping for as long as I can remember. In my case, it probably is an actual melatonin deficiency . . . or the internet. It seems like that's always where I am late at night.

I have trouble falling asleep, once I do I usually sleep alright. My mind races, it never feels right to shut off.

Recently after staying up way to long I had to listen to the song "tomorrow never knows" by the Beatles as I tried to get to sleep.

"shut off your mind relax and float down stream...it is not dieing...it is not dieing..."

i can't sleep sometimes of a restless mind. my body can be completely exhausted from strenuous activities from the day, but my mind is still wide awake. i basically can't sleep when i'm thinking about things. things that worry me mostly.
but when my mind is tired and i can't even think, that's when i have the best sleep.

I always have trouble sleeping.

I think it's usually either due to caffeine or anxiety.

I find that if I'm really anxious, or my heart is beating fast i can't sleep.
or if I'm thinking too much.

I have to be like, passing out tired, or super relaxed and stress-free to sleep.
