Do you know what goes in commercial pet food?
I have been researching this for quite some time, and it's disgusting. The government does not regulate what goes in our best friend's food, nearly enough....They allow road kill, euthanized animals, dead, diseased, dying, or disabled animals, along with known cancer-causing preservatives. Way too little nutrients and protein....Don't our precious pets deserve something better? Read the labels, everyone. Even the so-called "premium" diets fall way short.....They trust us with their life.....please make it count.

One important point is that on the nutitional info on the pack it may tell you th percentage of protein in th food, but some of these proteins are so low quality as to be hardly useful at all. Alot of beef in petfood is th carcasses of "uneconomically-viable cattle crosses" born to dairy herds. These small calves are produced only to keep th dairy cows lactating, and are shot soon after birth.

Great statement of purpose on behalf of our pets...Kudos. Yes, commercial pet food is appalling but least of all evils is what can be found at natural food stores. Better quality ingredients and less or no preservatives. Homemade diets are best.
