I was hoping for Nirvana, but I'll probably just end up here again.

There is no compelling evidence for a soul, so I am not concerned with such wishful thinking. There is even less evidence for believing in heaven and hell, so again, I have no idea why so many people believe such things.

After I die I will be cremated, and both my wife and I plan on having our ashes spread in the same location. A beautiful stretch of road known as Going to the Sun highway that overlooks a pristine forest. It's a place of beauty and tranquility, and unlike heaven, also comes with the benefit of actually existing.

The only thing I agreed with from my Catholic upbringing, when we went to get ashes on Ash Wednesday, the priest spreads ashes on your forehead and says "Remember you are ashes and to ashes you shall return."
Since my husband and I are going to be cremated and return to ashes, we will be held until our ashes can be co-mingled and scattered at our favorite beach, having all of our children together for a great party, while they grant us our final wish.

Heaven and Hell are dimensions. Just like this existence
we are in is a dimension too. When we die our life signature changes so that the ethereal world becomes as
solid as this dimension we are in now.
Yes I firmly believe in Heaven and Hell.
In Hell, imagine being in a fire and not dying, or having
any relief. That is the general acceptance of what Hell
is like. We know of dimensions existence all ready.
I prefer to act good and be secure.

Well, for me, the options are either Heaven, purgatory then Heaven, or Hell.

Don't know which one I'll get - I suppose it depends on what state I'm in when I die but I'm hoping for at least purgatory...

I have some ideas about that, but I have to admit that I don't KNOW!
I would be very surprised indeed if there were not some life or other after my body dies (although, if I cease to exist at all, I wouldn't be surprised - what would be left to be surprised???)

Whattup says there's no compelling evidence for a soul; I would say he hasn't come across it yet, but there's a heap of circumstantial evidence for some non-physical part of us, just no scientifically-proven photographs, hehe! (Apart, of course, from Kirlian photography). But scientists are mostly seeing the physical only; how could they know about the non-physical? Unless one is clairvoyant and can SEE these things in one's own experience, they can only be inferred. A bit like electricity. You can't see it, but you can infer its presence by what you can observe.

So really, most people are reduced to taking the word of those who CAN see these afterlife things on trust; and there are plenty of first-hand experiences written about in the literature. The number of experiences I have had personally are few; but I've had two or three - enough to point to the possibilities that "there's more to Life than meets the (physical) eye".

wow how depressing...i do not have any beliefs unfortunately, i would love to believe in something that would make this stuff seem easier, but i just cant...i dont know where im going when i die, i would love to think there is something else to go to, but how will you ever know? guess we will just have to wait and see....

*i think it would be nice to meet up with my family and friends that have passed away when i die-then maybe do the whole reincarnation thing*
