Do you know why most of men can focus on doing only one thing while most of women can do few things at the same time?

1000's of years ago when men went to hunting , they had to focus only on one thing! bringing food home!
while women had to stay & take care of the baby & used to pick fruits! (that's why women like shopping! looking at the colors & going from place to place ;)! so women use to do many things at the same time

Yes, it goes all the way back to the caveman days. Men are genetically predisposed to hunt. A single task that you devote everything too for success. Women are genetically predisposed with skills that require multiple tasking gathering roots and berries and watching after the kids. Activities that require multitasking. Together the two skills complement each other for the success of the larger social unit, be it family or tribe.

Caveat: Big generalizations here! But usually yes that is true.
Basically, while we are equal we are different and complement each other in that unique way. Our brains do function differently and this is not necessarily a bad thing. If men and woman functioned exactly alike, even thinking the same way, we wouldn't find them to be such interesting creatures.

Could it be related to patterns in how their brains tend to function? I think I might have read this somewhere years ago. In any case, I much prefer to do one thing at a time. I can get quite uncomfortable trying to do more than one thing simultaneously.

I think it is more of an experience thing and how the brain is wired throughout childhood. For some women, multitasking is similiar to that one person who is texting while hanging out.

    1. Technically, people can't multitask. The illusion of being able to switch back and forth on one thing to another quickly creates an illusion.

    2. Now parallel park while texting.

nagging when your washing up is not multitasking, nor is talking on the phone when waiting for your nails to dry. men have the ability to read the news paper, eat dinner , watch the tv, and phase out every thing around them, whilst still thinking how there going to convince women to do what they want, all at the same time. that's multitasking.
