My Mason is an indoor/outdoor cat. He would be miserable if he couldn't go out & goes out in any kind of weather. (we live in the north; cold snowy winters) He has been "fixed" but has all of his claws. He has 2 indoor litter boxes which he uses occasionally in the winter.

Wow, I'm amazed by how many people keep their cats indoors only. In New Zealand it's pretty much unheard of. I have two cats: one is strictly "outdoors only" (because he won't share his territory, so he sprays in the house), and the other is "indoor/outdoor". In this country, it's very common that pets are never allowed inside the house.

Mind you - it doesn't snow where I live. :)

Our cat goes outdoors all the time to do her business, she does not use a litterbox--which is nice because I don't have to clean it!!

I let mine out. Not because I want to, but two of them are "potty trained" to do their business outside. They don't like litter boxes. The other two are litter queens. They will wake me up, just to let them out to do their business!!! LOL

Would if I lived in a house but don't ,so I can't. Do take them out to let them play around for a while. Wish they could stay outside, they'd love that.

Prince is an outdoor cat. He loves to run around in the back garden. He hides in the flower beds waiting for the birds!

Mine are older so have come to EXPECT their creature comforts, like a soft mink blanket and food on demand.

They wonder in and out at will as I never close the back door.

I don't have an indoor litter tray so they just trot out into the garden when necessary

my cats are strickly indoor cats. I have a balcony and love stretching out in the sun on the balcony. If I had a litttle house on a quite street with a backyard I would let them out.
