Do you like Beauty Pageants for the young?

I do NOT approve of them as it takes away a Child's Child

hood!.....How DARE Parents abuse their children by putting

their children through this!....YES!...This Is Child ABUSE!!

It teaches the children that looks and competition are more important than brains and opinion.

I think it's child abuse too... and teaches children all the wrong things in life. It teaches them to be too competitive, that looks matter, it can ruin their self esteem and it can make them arrogant.

Childhood is about having fun, not to put pressure on children.

And aboslutely totally and completely scary!!!!
I love little miss sunshine, amazing movie.
But I would freak out next to those tanned an drowned in make up kidds who act as if they were 20 :O... bleh
Their parents are to blame for it why would you do that to a child. Who has a her whole life to all that!

I think teaching them at an early age that looks are competitive and you have to be better than or not as good as someone else is bad values, that your worth depends on your looks.
Yes it can be fun to dress up all pretty, and if it weren't for the nature of pageants it would be a good thing--only if there were no winners or favorites and it was just about dressup and a talent show.

I understand parents want to build confidence but this is ridiculous. It's a competition of beauty and that is horrible. I've seen these girls and they look like plastic barbie dolls and saddens me when I hear that a girl cried when she lost. Why are they being dressed like adults honestly. I feel bad for the girls and shame on the parents.
