I love sad songs, makes me feel like I am not alone. This week my go-to is "Sweet Old World" by Iris DeMent.
"Walk down that lonesome road" by James Taylor. Very emotional. Maybe it's just my depressed disposition, but I'm often attracted to very solemn music, films, and art. Something about it just feels more meaningful.
"There are days when nothing makes me happy except writing sad songs"
That's a bit from a band I like, but When I'm really sad I tend to just want to play guitar. Or I listen to a lovely little band from florida called, "I Hate Myself".
They are okay...
Candle in the Wind,
Sad Songs Say so much... Elton John
"Without you" by badfinger and "as tears go by" by the rolling stones. Sadness is one of the most powerful emotions and a sad song can really affect you, physically.
This question reminded me of this song....
