a pencil. If I make a mistake, I can erase it and I have more control with a pencil.

i prefer to write with a pencil because if u make a mistake you don't have to use white out, but if i need to use a pen, i would use an erasable pen

I prefer writing with a pen, because the writing seems to flow better for me. Pencils often wear down or break, so you have to stop and advance the lead, or replace it, or sharpen it, which interrupts the flow of thought. Besides, I just enjoy the feeling of writing with a *really* good (*not* necessarily expensive) pen. I love gel pens, and sometimes even write with fountain pens, because of the nostalgic feeling to them.

Asking someone whether they prefer pencils or pens really says a lot about a person. If they prefer pencils, that means they are someone who plays it safe, knowing if they make a mistake, it can easily be erased. But if they prefer pen, that means that they are risk takers and are confident enough in their choices that they don't need an eraser. I will admit earlier in my life, I would have prefered pencils. But real life isn't like writing in pencil where if there's a problem, it can easily be erased. Life is like writing in pen where if you make a mistake, it's too late. But sometimes it's good to live that way. Because life will give you chances to write anew. So now that I'm in college, I'll take a few risks and go with writing in pen.

I prefer a pen, because they are easier to write with and, in my opinion are more beautiful than when writing with a pencil. Though drawing is more beautiful with a pencil.
