Do you rate or vote for answers you like?

I always try to because I appreciate it when mine are, and I like to let others know when I like something they've written (either by voting for it, recommending it, or even sometimes sending them a message).

When someone pithily encapsulates my opinion - even crystallising a fuzzy opinion in my own head - absolutely yes.

Rarely if it's just an attempt at humour.

Never if it does not accord with a sensible approach.

If the question was "Should I put my hand in the fire?" and an answer was "No, because it would make the hand-fairy cry" - that gets no vote. I agree with the answer, but cannot accept the faulty reasoning that led to it.

"No because it hurts" - vote!

Yes, almost always. I think that's one of the most important aspects. I am constantly amazed by responses here. That can be good and bad!

Yes,and its a good thing cos they get points,..which makes a nice change..Its nice to acknowledge and show appreciation...Good question by the way:)

Yes, whenever I find an answer I really like :)

Though sometimes I need to do a double take because I forgot to vote.

I just voted on FredTrellis' answer because it makes sense and I agree with the reasoning behind it :)
If I feel the question has been answered appropriately, then I vote. If it hasn't then I answer.
