I know that conventional wisdom dictates that the opposite of love is indifference, however I think there are some cases where hate is quite real. If you don't believe me talk to a divorce lawyer.
Basically, BohemianBuddha just summed up my reason for not ever wanting marriage again. A contract that binds asserts some type of ownership and sole rights. I am a free thinker who knows love runs wild on the playground of soul.
But I never say I hate anyone........... that word is a very strong word.
And when I say I love some one.............I really mean it because "Love" is another strong word.
Yes, I know because I only use the word hate in the heat of passion. You must have stirred something inside me.
And if I ever say the words, "I love you"? You can bank on that. Make that investment, it pays dividends.
We'll see. . .
We'll see what you think when I stab you.
Oh geez, no.
That is b/c the opposite of love is not hate--it is indifference. Yes, I do know this. :)
How do you know I know? ;)
