Well I don't believe in the kind of hell touted by man-made religion. But punishment? More like having learn and re-learn the same lessons that got you to that place in the first instance (yes I believe in reincarnation). So in that way it doesn't really solve anything...it kinda puts you back into the same circumstances with the added grief and pain of those you left behind and the impacts your suicide will have on their lives.
Thinking in terms of being a loving parent (and is God not supposed to be our Father?)...I know many who have lost children to suicide and the LAST thing on their minds is punishment for their child! Anger yes...and all kinds of other feelings. But I suspect that it is Love and Heartache on God's mind when a child of His takes his own life rather than holding their arms outstretched for comfort and healing.Like (1)

No, you don't. People who commit suicide are ill and I think if someone is that sick God isn't going to hold it against them. If you can't think right, you can't think right.
