bunches of semis in a row going down the highway....and what was the significance of them?

LOL, good memories, maybe you two ain't as old as I thought, it was a song. CW McCall Cool song, but there were a lot of them out at the time, Phantom 309, and a bunch of others. Trucking was big business then a guy or gal could make a pretty good living at it. It was before cell phones, and everybody had a CB. It was good safety on the road and you had a tendency to travel together if you were all going the same direction, gave you someone to talk to. Also, at the time, they still had radio programs on the AM radio dial, you could listen to a story for a couple of hundred miles. The best was getting with a group and traveling, telling stories, tall tales were the best. Sometimes, just things you missed, family, kids, pets, where you were headed next. Good places to stop, places to avoid, speed traps, bad roads, good roads, and roads not to take to get somewhere.
