Sorry - but I would say "I'm on the queue now"! Maybe if I was in Ameica where you guys call a queue a line then I'd say "I'm waiting on line now". Yeah that's the one, that rolls off the tongue more naturally for me.

If it's a firing squad, then I won't be waiting in line. If I am trying to buy tickets, then I'll join the queue. if I am at the start of a race, then I'll be waiting on the line for the starting signal. English is wonderfully complex and rich in it's subtleties. mx:))
