No, I set the bar really, really low and constantly amaze myself by always exceeding my standards!! Happier, less stressful way to live ;-)

I used to be really hard on myself, but I had a mental illness and it wasn't being treated, because I wasn't diagnosed then..now I can actually be proud of my accomlishments, and thats a huge step for me

the secret is to set your standards so far out of your reach that, when you your best, your fingertips fall just short of them. then you berate yourself and raise your standards.

Yes, all the time. I especially do it with my grades, nothing less than an A and a GPA Above 3.7 will suffice. So far I have been doing ok. It took a dip last semester because of the fúcking foreign language class though..
