Yes. My husband and I always shut our door. We never know sort of night we might be going to have together - the noises could wake the kids who sleep across the hallway ;)

yeah. Keeping cats out--my husband's idea, if it were only me, I'd say, all 4 of my cats can sleep on me, it is cute!! He doesn't think so, lol.

Yes I do because my husband is afraid of the dark and keeps a night light burning in the bathroom. He opens the door to the bathroom when he comes in from work.

Same. Or I just hear EVERYTHING. Sleeping downstairs has its cons. I can hear the fridge buzzing, the toilet flushing (next door), the shower, doors slamming and noisy t.v. Just what you need to send you off to sleep (not to mention the rows)

Well as of right now I sleep with it closed, but I'm possibly moving to the basement of my house soon, and then I'd leave it open, for ease of bathroom access:P

Not necessarily. Depends. If there is a lot of noise around in the house, then yes. Otherwise, no. Rather i dont mind..
