Open in the slight hope that you will walk thru the door.

Close - I like the fall asleep with that cosy enclosed feeling, but when I am dead tired, I can fall asleep within seconds, door close or open.

Open. I have kids. The only time I slept with it closed is when I lived with other people.

Open if I'm alone in the house or with my partner only; closed if either of my sons is home or there are other house guests. Any noise anyone made would wake me up if the door was open

Partially open, so my kittens can get to their litter pans, or to their food or water bowls.

Ajar. I also live with someone but I like my cats to get in and out of the room so I just hang a bathrobe over the door to cover the gap

If my daughter's boyfriend is here, I close it. If not, I prefer it open.

When I am alone, closed. Otherwise, slightly ajar. (You would think it would be the other way round, wouldn't you?!)

Bedroom door open for more air, but house door strongly closed although burglars can break easily all kinds of locks.

I used to sleep with it closed until the cat busted through it -- he's a brute -- so now I just leave it open since he's coming in anyway...
