I find that when you throw big words into conversations or essays, what have you, people think you actually know what you're talking about.

    No. I use plain english because my aim is to communicate powerfully and effectively - even in my post-graduate studies. I do have the vocabulary - i love language. In undergrad, I tried to sound impressive. In post-grad, I aimed for clarity.

    Though I feel completely moronic when I can't decipher text speak. There's some that I keep seeing that I still don't know what they mean.
