Resolved Question

Do you think everything happen's for a reason ?

I have often wondered if everything happens for a reason. I have come to the conclusion, I do think everything happens for a reason, and that there is a spiritual reason and purpose for us being in the place we are now. Given that there is free will, things will go wrong because we make wrong decisions, but maybe the bad things that happen to us also happen for a reason, just as the good things that happen. I also believe there is cause and effect, but I do believe in God and angels, and they are there to guide us if we believe in them.

Look around this earth......look at the miracle of our body.....it all points to a higher intellegent being....our Heavenly Father.

We were given a body so we could have a mortal experience.....we were given free will to make choices.....yes sometimes bad things happen to good people....seems unfair but God gave free agency to all and sometimes we suffer for the choices made by others.

This is a growing period...not unlike school....but when we graduate......at any level.....we move on to our eternal life with our knowledge and character....we take it with us........

We all hate school and see it as meaningless and irrelevent......but we also know we dont get a good job without it.

Yes...I believe that we are meant to meet certain people in our lives that either teach us something about life that we didn't already know or take us some where to experience a part of life we wouldn't have had the chance to do with out them. We all have energy and we are drawn to certain people for reasons unknown, other than we are compeled to attach ourselves to this them
...Or to do certain activites in life, to either meet new people or learn from the experience.

Life is about learning and experiencing as much as you can

Yes. In my opinion it's undeniable. I have nothing to back it up, but why not? if there is nothing that gives reason, so be it, but if there is all the better. perhaps whattup is right. perhaps not. so then the question also stands: is the Universe in Order or Chaos?

yup... i think things happen for growth in our lives the good stuff, the bad stuff ... all of it teaches a lesson and we just have to find the lesson in each event... good or badd its all for growth..

Obviously, yes.

But not (likely) in the cosmic alignment sense, nor the zealots perspective of divine.

Existence can be and is shaped daily. Action, reaction. Cause, and effect.

Not in the sense that you are implying. I believe that there are reasons why things happen in a cause and effect sort of way. All the events are obviously connected in some way. Since your mind is one hell of a pattern finder, you start to find common things to connect with certain events. You do this whether or not they are actually connected are not. That way, when you find yourself in a certain situation, you can assign a previous event as a cause.

Sure, why not? There's no harm in believing. I don't think that believing makes me an escapist, or naive, it's just a reflection of the fact that I search for more meaning in life. I'm not afraid of the possibility that nothing happens for a reason, but to me, life isn't empty. We just have to be willing to look in the right places for meaning. It's too subtle for most people to notice or acknowledge.

Oh yes!! Without a reason or doubt. God is in control, yet He allows us to have free will so we can make our own choices and learn from them.

Everything is cause and effect- but we do not always know the cause and effect and so they appear random to us, and come into our lives as random. But definitely everything happens for a reason (a cause that starts off the dominos).

Sometimes the reasons are not good- they are sinister on other people's parts. Sometimes the cause/effect has nothing to do with us and we are in the middle of someone elses cause/effect chain.

But I believe it is all under someone's care and watch and the more we grow beyond ourselves the more we realize and understand all of this above, and we will see that there is a larger reason that is tolerating all these things happen in order that the greatest good will be carried out- perhaps not even in our own lifetime. Just think- had not everything happened exactly as it did in my own life I would not have met my husband and had a beautiful daughter right now (the exact one I have)- so yes- this alone tells you everything happens for a reason- and what happens in this generation will unfold the next generation- reasons we will never know because we will be gone and yet the story continues to unfold and the reasons for what happened 100 or 200 years ago continue to unfold.

I have contimplated this deeply for so long. For the most part I do. On the other hand free will dictates alot of what or lives are now. But, if everything happend for a reason, then what would be the explanation for poor decision making? Would that mean that one who acts foolishly was ment to be a fool? Its such a deep topic....

After what I have been going through these last few weeks, it better have a reason behind it! I do think that everything turns out how it is supposed to; it just might be a pain in the @#$ getting there. I dont know if there is a supreme being that is directing it, or if it is just the patterns of life and collective consciousness.

Yes. We are not here by accident and we all paths that are created just for us. We walk through life and come to different places through this set plan.......we meet people and get to know some better than others and in that, we see the effect that our lives can have on those people we see daily.......

friend.........
for every action there is equal and opposite reaction.so what every the thing happens it is because of particualr reason only. for example if u give a smile to little child then child also smiles at u . if u give a serious face to little child then child also looks serious face at u
god bless u..............

Yes and no. The choices we make affect us far into the future. Everything we do has the potential to become something that will change things forever. Do I think someones pulling the strings? Maybe...it is strange how little things tend to grow into something big with both good and bad consequences all the time...

People think everything happens for a reason and its God's Plan.
Everything DOES NOT happen for a reason.
God blessed us with the intellect to make our own decisions, and tragic things happen as a result of our own, with the help of the devil.
Many things do happen for a reason and are later tied together but not all.
A lot of people just say everything happens for a reason to help them cope with why things happen the way they do. Feeling like something was "meant to happen" for a "better cause" is more of a defense mechanism.
Whether things happened for a reason or not, it happened. Accept it. If there a positive outcome arises out of the situation, take it as a blessing. but it should not be an expectation.

Yes, it's all cause and effect. Basic Laws of Physics. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

This is one of the big reasons that makes me far my house. Why do people always think the reason in stead of thinking what to do next? why dothey always look for a reason of anything?

As I have just discussed in the question "Do you believe in fate? And what is your concept of it?", I believe strongly that everything does indeed happen for a reason. The fact that often things seem "random" and take us by surprise is an appearance only, due to the fact that the reason may span several of our past lives and thus not be immediately available for us to understand. However, if you know how to and are willing to do the work, these things can be uncovered and resolved.
