Enough studies have been done that included this experiment to test various things and on campuses the chances are apparently not bad if you're a woman asking guys. Worse if you're a guy asking women but still surprisingly good.

there was two sets of studies of that! and as long as you were moderate-to-very attractive your odds were pretty much 70%, they dropped to 50% if you just wanted to go on a date
