when boys hit puberty, they stop hating girls and start liking them.
he's probably changed a lot from the person who treated you badly for all those years. if he is ready to stop acting like that, then maybe you can trust him now.
try to forgive him when you are ready, but remind him about the way he used to behave, make him understand how you feel about it.
perhaps, in your heart, you won't really feel ready for a little while longer.
