I had a 28 year relationship with someone who was the mother to my 2 daughters, we have not spoken for almost 5 years. I find it very sad that even for the sake of our children (21 & 18) there is no common ground or discussion. Her choice not mine. I still think of her every day many times, not in a way I'd have her back but because she played a large part in my life, you cannot just erase that in my view.
I am of the belief that she wouldn't be bothered if I died as I simply don't exist anymore as far as she is concerned. I'm still not bitter though just sad that someone could waste some much negative energy on a relationship that just drifted apart. (She left me for my best friend)Like (1)

I wouldn't know. It ended so badly that we no longer have contact to each other due to a restraining order on her part...
