I think it will get better. People are learning that they have to take notice of what is really going on in the world instead of what the newest playstation game is. or how big the surf is. About time.

I don't think it's worse today than it used to be.
People used to go watch hangings or beheading for entertainment.

Worse. We've been riding a high horse for a long time. It'll be awhile before we get back. I think the blame rests on those with power, but not too much. I don't blame anyone. Just everyone. As a whole, noone in particular. Change it for the better by working extra hard for extra-less money. And teach your children to do the same. China doesn't own us cause they're cool.

The problem is that generations grew up with expectations to live next year better than a year before...it is a hard habbit to break...
i think it will be the same...no better no worse for a while...at least for another 2 years

IDK. For some reason, I see things getting worse before they get better!

We were discussing this at work today! General consensus was that things will never go back to the way they were. "More for less and screw the stress" seems to be a lot of employers motto these days.

Vicky, since I was old enough to be aware of anything at all, things have got worse. The 'bullshit revolution' has made me so sad. It has meant the end of common sense, respect and decency; instead we have to 'prove everything'. In today's society it seems you are regarded as being guilty unless you can prove you are innocent, not the other way around like it has been for millennia.
I am thoroughly sick of risk assessments, method statements, Health & Safety, CRB checks, ID checks, 'security' (whatever that is taken to mean) and all the paperwork which accompanies anything at all that you wish to do today.
In short, can I retire yet?

I say it's the way you perceive things, things may get worse but it's all about how your mind works. You can chose to believe things will stay the same way or work to make things better even if they feel out of your control.

Yes... Sadly enough I agree with Trgdy Ann....... The world is corrupt and rotting.... Look at the general economics, the stess between the countries and just the chaos!!! we are on the border line of an out breaking war!!!!! In less then a decade this world will be in total chaos.... at least from what I can tell , but just think about it...... There is a mere chance of us (the U.S.A.) getting through this upcoming depretion without blood shed. That is all I have to say for i have pondered this myself many times before....

I think it will depend on individual perspectives and priorities as to how the future looks.

There has never been a better way of living . Every period of time have had different problems , nonsense laws and stupid citizens just like we have now. Maybe if we open our eyes and dont sugarcoat issues things will be better but never perfect.

Hello V! How are you? I guess it depends what you're going through in your life. In the world, well, I want to be positive and hope for the best no matter what.

Things are pretty good for me. I have friends and family whom I love and who love me. I have a home that I feel safe in, and I haven't picked up a drug or a drink in over three years. So I don't make as much money as I used to, I still get by.

I think that human nature stay's the same but technology increases, yes these are hard times. What was once believed to be right is now wrong and what once was believed to be wrong is now right. Desensitized people are now forcefully asking to make what is illegal to become legal,(same sex marriage-legalizing marijuana ect...) it's not good for them nor anyone else, people just want their way, even if it's not good.
