Do you think it is wrong for a 25 year old to go on vacation with her boyfriend of over 2 years?

My parents seem to have a serious problem with this and I really cannot take it!

Parents are often narrowminded when it comes to their kids. Note their concern and do what you want to do. The fact that their opinions still affect your decision-making is touching, but there are just some things you won't see eye-to-eye on. You've been considerate of them enough, now it's their turn to be considerate of your wants and different lifestyle. Be safe and have fun!

I sure hope not, because I'm in my 20's and going on vacation with my boyfriend of nearly 3 years...

If I were you, I'd go. You are a mature, responsible adult. You will make mature, responsible decisions. And you'll be fine and have fun. :)

If you're not dragging your parents--presumably kicking and screaming--along with you and they aren't paying for the trip, just go and have a good time.

If you can hold your head up and tell your 15 year old daughter about that trip one day...what goes around comes around....

So you're 25 and you've been with him for over 2 years, presumably you've had sex with him, why is he still your "boyfriend"?

I should have gone on vacation with my first wife at age 25 before we married. It would have saved me 15 years of my life. I didn't find out we were incompatible until after the "I do's".

Go on vacation with him and decide if he's who you really REALLY want to spend the rest of your life with.

Your boyfriend is a 2-year-old?? Oh, sorry, I understand now. If you cannot take it: Don't take it. You don't have to.

LOL @ 2nice "presumably you've had sex with him" WHY??

My parents are like yours, I can totally relate (that's why I'm saving up to move out).

If you've been with him for 2 years, go for it. If they're still giving you a hard time, just go without their permission. :-D What are they going to do? Don't you think they'll yell at you either way?

Nope. In fact, I took my GF on vacation to Mexico for two weeks just after her 21st Bday in January as a Bday present. I guess I was lucky that her parents treated her as an adult because her Mom slipped me $100.00 just before we left her house for the airport and whispered *buy her something really cute to wear!* We had a blast and it was probably nearly the best $2500.00 I've ever spent... although we did 'break up amicably' at the end of that summer as she was moving to Europe for work on her Master's Degree.

You're 25! your parents really shouldn't have a say in the matter, YOU ARE AN ADULT.

Start acting like one.
