Resolved Question

Do you think it's unattractive when someone wears who they are on their sleeve?

I recently answered a question kinda like this. This is like a question about my answer lol! I'm just not fake - and I'm pretty secure - even about my insecurities - I think it's endearing for people to have SOME insecurities. But - maybe cuz I'm sick - I'm feeling teary today.......and a bit lonely and tired and wondering if people prefer people who are more guarded. (Not that I'll change anyway though!! ( ; ) (ps I don't mean that I pour out my life story to strangers lol! Unless they ask I guess. I'm pretty comfortable with most subjects. : P)(pss - are lady dorks (lol) unattracive too? (again, not that I CAN change lol!) Thanks for indulging me, everybody...; I

Unattractive? No indeed, my wife was like that and I realize now that she was one of the bravest people I ever met. The only time she would not be totally honest was to keep from hurting feelings (ie "How do I look?" type questions). She rarely rushed to judgment unless it was a question that was obvious. People often sought her counsel and she was a good listener and her opinion was highly valued and sought out. I asked her often if she ever got tired of people in tears calling her at all hours night and day and she said that she felt she had a responsibility and honor to help when she could. Keep being true to yourself. I promise you that it will hurt you a lot sometimes and malicious people will use it against you now and then. But the world needs rare people like you.

People that are real, are attracted to real. People that are fake are attracted to fake.

No, I find that refreshing. Hard too find people who are honest about themselves out there in the offline world.

No, I prefer people who are real. I actually find the 'fakey' people quite unattractive.

Everyone is always going to find someone unattractive. But I would much rather know someon like you, then someone who backbites and never lets anyone in. A mystery is good, but an enigma is not, at least not when it comes to people. I liek to know where I stand. Lady dorks are sexy. I know. I'm a lady dork, too.

Everyone is different in what they find attractive. Some people are very image-conscious, some are uncomfortable with displays of emotion. But others appreciate honesty and frankness, even silliness and a healthy inner child. There are others out there just like you, believe me!

And plenty of guys like "lady dorks", like my husband! He's a sucker for nerdy girls in glasses.

I don't think it's unattractive.....unless you're a babbling mess...lol...

It's nice to know people who are honest, and show their feelings and emotions....so, you know where you stand with that person....

I think lady dorks are just as sexy as guy dorks....they are very lovable creatures...ha.

I'll take real and genuine over fake and guarded any day. Just keep being you, dear, and to hell with anyone that's put off by it. It takes all kinds, and somewhere you'll find someone that moves to the beat of the same drum as you.

No. Someone is out there for everyone- and it is refreshing when people are honest, and accept themselves~ quirks and all!

Easier to see when someone is clear about who they are, and all the energy you would have wasted trying to figure out who someone is can be better spent then... ;o)

I hope you feel better soon. I wish (within reason) we could all be ourselves. That is something I find attractive.

I hope you feel better soon! :-)

Personally, I like people who are semi-guarded. People who won't tell you everything at once (leaves room to get to know someone), but someone who will share enough to lead into deeper conversation. Someone who is not hard hearted, but not overly sensitive either.

I like it when people are who they are no matter where they're at or who they're with. but i don't like it when they insist on telling everyone their life story trying to get their sympathy or acknowledgement.
