Twenty years after our divorce, my ex-wife and I returned to a friendship that I cherish and enjoy. We kept having to deal with each other over the years because of the children we have in common. There was quite a bit of anger in the beginning, but now we are sharing a house together and happily living as roommates. Our daughters think that it is funny and are always teasing us about it.

No, I don't think that it is weird. In this life, a good friend is often hard to find. I say go with it and don't think about what others are thinking. There is a book titled, "What you think of me is none of my business." I've never read the book but I like the sentiment.

My parents have been divorced for 15 years and are still good friends. My dad is still BFF with his ex in-laws. I'm very close with my ex fiance and his family. I couldn't imagine it any other way. Just because the marriage didn't work out doesn't mean the relationship has to end on all facets. People come togeher in marriage at all ages. When we mature we sometimes discover that our needs and our wants have changed. The person we married still can hold a special place in our hearts and in our lives, but not fulfill or complete us as a marriage is intended. There is nothing weird about feeling like your husband is your best friend. This is a beautiful resolution for two people to retain after divorce. Blessings Rated: +1Vote for this!
