It is what they want which is exactly why it shouldn't be done.

That's a good point, the majority of them to it for attention and that is what they get. Blame it on the media; it's made everyone think they "need" to know everything that's happening in the world.

I don’t think their name should be used, photo showed, nothing. In their sick minds, they are going to be “famous” and never forgotten by committing these acts. Don’t give them the satisfaction.

No. The victims should be remembered...The only attention should be a picture of the killer swinging from a noose with a hood over their head

What difference does it make to them or anyone in the end, they are dead. The truth should be out there and we need to know to try to understand and maybe we can recognise the warning signs in others.

it makes a difference because those columbine kids did it so they would be remembered, and they are, so the next kid who cant get enough "attention" goes and kills a butt load of people so that he can make a name for himself. we should take that away from them. we can still know everything there is to know about them, without knowing their names

I doubt that its the desire to be known that is the real motivating force. I think hiding their names isnt going to reduce the amount of school shootings in any way. I wonder when I'm feeling suicidal or like hurting people if the feelings is the same in any way but when I am like that, other peoples opinions, feelings or what they think of me mean nothing. The only way to stop this **** is to make it impossible for them to get a gun, and yeah they could use a knife or whatever but its not that easy to kill one person with a knife let alone 20. Also to improve mental health and poverty education and most of all this stupid fear that is in that country, because really this particular type of terrorism happens in that country more than anywhere else in the world.

I think people would want to know the name of the person and that persons background story.... I think everyone just needs someone to blame.

Most kids are named long before they ever step inside a school.

oh, i see. Over 18 we should know. It would be really hard on the family no matter what age, for their names to be revealed
