    When I was young and travelling through Europe with a Eurailpass (basically a ticket for 3 months to go anywhere), I ran into little 'Hitler' conductors on the trains all the time. Power isn't a bad thing, but some/most people just don't know how to use power wisely.

    No, most are only enforcing rules and making sure people obey them. It has to be done. No rules would create anarchy. It's a tough position to be in...everybody always hates the man in charge.
