Do you think 'Scientology' is a Cult?

I know it is. I was in it for 5 years before I realized it though. Went through a lot with them, but finally I started seeing through the lies and that's when I left. I was lucky I didn't owe them any money or I wouldn't have been able to walk away as easily as I did. When I see them on the street and they try to talk to me, I just tell them that I already was in and found it to be a load of bullshit. They just stare at me and then I walk away. I will not waste any more of my time on them. I will take the time to tell others what they are about though. I think warning people is important.

Mostly I think it's the most brilliant form of tax-evasion ever devised. The government can't touch it because of the religious status. They must get an enormous laugh at the expense of the IRS from calling one of their practices "auditing". Isn't that what the IRS does when they suspect someone of tax fraud or evasion? I'm sure L. Ron went to his grave laughing his *** off.

Any group that makes a person uncomfortable or afraid in any way for disagreeing even slightly with their views or, if a person begins to distance themselves from friends and family and puts the group before everything else, then it is a cult.

I think of most religions as types of cults.

I have no idea if its a cult, or what the religion is about but I read some comments earlier about it that made me feel a bit sick eating placentas or something?To me that dictates- its a bit sick!!, as does Jehovas witnesses refusing to give organs is it, when a loved ones dying?I dont believe all religions are bad though, and I like ones that teach good morals, but from what i've read Scientology sounds a bit warped and has no factual basis..
