    Yes. Even when purely centered in your subconscious dream state, no astral projection, you mind stores faces of everyone you meet. Even if you don't know them you have seen them.

    When aping you can sometimes tell another aper because they are more coherent and unpredictable. Kinda like being very drunk or dazed but still themselves. Subconscious Projections play a role in a dream then are usually no more involved than mannequins. It's one fascinating subject to me.

    Research states that your mind can not create new faces and the faces that you see in you dreams are images of real people, most likely from your subconscious. People you see on a train or walking down the street and don't pay much attention to at the time. I don't have any evidence to back me up but try googling it.
