Do you think stereotypes can be useful? How?

Stereotypes exist to make people who don't have real knowledge of other cultures feel secure. Its pathetic, but If they don't know the truth, they have to assume something.

Stereotypes are judgments made without proper evaluation of situations, people and things. So no, I don't think they can be useful.

I have all kinds of uses for mine. Sometimes I even use them to clean the pots and pans after dinner. I used one once as a door-stop, and then once I used one as a boat anchor. They aren't good to eat - I tried one for dinner and yuck! I use all of mine now as lawn ornaments. Hope this helped.

You bet.
They allow me to make a snap judgement and categorize easily. Having that kind of order in my head makes my world less stressful.
I have no problem shifting things and people from one stereotype to another.

I don't care much for stereotypes myself. On the other hand, just because someone has certain racial characteristics, it doesn't necessarily make them a stereotype.

I think it causes prejudice.....so, I would say no.
