No PC and Mobile gaming cannot compare to an actual console. Plus you'll never sign me up for something that I need to connect to a server to play. It sucks I'm completely dependant on their bandwith and connectivity.

no, not really. But everything seems to be merging together. and interconnecting. So consoles are becoming media hub computers, and phones are become consoles, and mobile gaming consoles are becoming phone computer blah blalh blahs.

I was tempted to buy the PS3 from tesco for £120, 12G.
The last time I owned a console was 8 years ago. I just use my laptop to play games now. It's possible, they are way too expensive, especially when PS3 was first released in the UK, it cost over £400, now it is as low as £120.Like (1)

No. Portable gaming devices will not have the same quality as console gaming for a while.

I'm sure there will eventually be some sort of high speed online hosted alternative.
