The Milankovic climate cycle actually is in a cooling phase. As such, the increase in Earth's temperature since 1900 CE is entirely due to humans. With petroleum production at about 90 million barrels per day, and with other fossil fuel use and cement production, CO2 addition to Earth's atmosphere by man is in the 2010s about 56 billion metric tons per year. Earth actually absorbs a large fraction of the CO2, but atmospheric concentration of CO2 at sea level still rises by about 1 pascal (9 parts per million) every four years.

For a technical reason described by Svante Arrhenius in the 1896 April edition of Philosophical Magazine, a rise in CO2 causes a rise in water vapour. The water vapour is the chief greenhouse gas for all except the glacial regions of Earth, so ultimately more CO2 means more global warming by reason of increased water vapour, global warming that since 1900 CE has outpaced the cooling effect of Earth's current time fr<x>ame in the Milankovic cycle and has produced a temperature increase -- an increase of more than 0.6 Celsius as a worldwide average.
Some climate change deniers like to cite the 22-year solar magnetic cycle. However, as 2013 progresses, it will be seen that Arctic sea ice melt outpaces the sea ice melt typical of 20 to 24 years ago (1989 to 1993) by roughly three weeks, when using Arctic sea ice extent in the 11 to 7 million square kilometer range. For example, 20 to 24 years ago, the last date of at least 11 million square kilometer Arctic sea ice extent during the melt season was in early July, but this year it will be in mid-June. Whether one uses a Milankovic cycle of roughly 100,000 years or a solar magnetic cycle of about 22 years, it is clear that in the 21st century that there is warming that is not explained by natural cycles of Earth's orbit, nor by the natural 22-year magnetic cycle of the sun. That explanation is the CO2 produced by man, and its effect on increasing the water vapour in Earth's atmosphere.

Humans are just speeding up the process. Remember the Ice Ages? This is the opposite. And everything ha an opposite.

its a cycle. You cannot cross the alps today using the same route that hanible did because the passes are covered in slow. It was warmer in in the time of the dinos. we know they didnt have autos or factories.

A little of climate cycle, a lot of humans. The climate cycle was discovered by the same group of people who now say that we've broken the pattern very rapidly and with an easy tie to industrialization. The climate cycle is VERY GRADUAL.

It's both, Climate change is happening faster then normal due to the humans causing pollution and not caring. If we all did a little bit in our local areas it would help balance it out but climate change will always happen

Both...we are definitely guilty of abusing the earth.
We are definitely at our worst as far as the ways /morals of man.

I know the earth has her cycles but there is no doubt that the human race is messing around with the earth and causing those cycles to go out of balance like a parasite causes illness. The problem I am worried about is mother nature will purge us like a parasite if we don't change our ways.

Both

I have no doubt is do to are use of fossil fuels; But I think people vastly underestimate the resilient's of the Earth.

Oh, the earth will be fine. It's the people on it I'm concerned about.

Mostly humans
