Do you think that having a decorated home is important?

What do you think about when you enter someone's home and see how they've decorated? ...and lastly, do you decorate your living space in a certain style? (if yes) What is your style?

I suck at decorating. I'm all about it being inviting & comfortable.

I enjoy coordinated decorating. But not enough to do it myself.

It's not necessary, but I think that 'Self expression' is important!

I feel that deep deep inside i've got a contemporary style but all that gets on the outside is pizza boxes and beer cans

Nah it's not all that important. My personal style is called: I liked it and wanted to put it there! I think a shrink would have a blast analyzing my decorating and telling me what he/she thinks is wrong with my head.

No I dont think it is important. I think having a clean, comfortable house is more important. I like rocks and colored glass and have a few vases and glass dishes around the house filled with them. I also like pictures on the walls. I hate dust collectors and too much "stuff" so my house is rather spartan-which I like.

I think it is not important. (to me)

My house is a mish mash of used furniture that in no way matches or anything. I just don't care about that whole decorating thing.

Not necessarily. It is a matter of preference. But I prefer to decorate my home because it would look inviting and cozy.
My style is French country.

Not really. It depends on the person's age and lifestyle. A college student wouldn't have money or time to decorate and everything would be functional in his/her home. Same with someone at a new job. After 3-5 years at a job, I would expect some decoration and style to show up. But, bottom line, is I would just expect cleanliness, not perfect, but clean with minimal clutter. To my mind, that's the sign of a well adjusted person. Too much clutter means there are unresolved issues.
