I'd choose being smothered over being ignored any day.

it depends on what kind of attention. scaring the heck out of me at 1am while i'm EP-ing and then nagging me to go to bed is not good. but lots of laughs and cuddles is very good.

too much of anything is a bad thing, tho'

There needs to be a happy medium. Too much can be smothering and i'm the type of girl who needs my space from time to time. I like to cuddle on the couch at night wtih my partner while watching TV and hug and pecks on the cheek throughout the day and holding hands but i'm not the clingy type.

Also I don't like to be ingored or rejected either when I make the move for affection. If I give a hug I hope it would be returned.

no. unless you're talking serial killer type attention. it's still bad having too much attention, but having too little is worse.

When your partner is pshyco and is the over protective type, then yes. But i like getting attention from my significant other, as many as i can get..otherwise i seem to feel a bit neglected

It's better to err on the side of too much attention, I think. I like space, but if I wanted lots of it I wouldn't be in a relationship. I'm not in a relationship.

"too much" means more than you want, so obviously yes. We really need examples from you, if you want an accurate opinion about whether or not what he's doing is causing problems, though.

My boyfriend and I have been working on this. I'm not used to being touched all the time and when I'm on the phone or trying to work on something important I don't like to be touched or even just patted, because it ruins my concentration. We've had to discuss boundaries and hes gotten MUCH better and realizing the time and place for it.
