Oh, I say let's let healthcare go - let people die. The more people die, the less Democrats and Republicans we have and then it reduces the number of people capable of maintaining the Army and all those nuclear weapons. I say we follow the original Bush plan - Fascim - everyone man your posts - it's time to wipe out the world!!

if you are dumb enough to believe it is about healthcare, then you deserve the crap headed our way. It is all about controlling people.

It will be the death of the economy if this arrogant socialist rams this through.

No. However, the problem is the players in the debate. If you listen to the Republicans, who are being handed massive amounts of money by the insurance companies, we have a perfect system. The Senate minority leader has been the largest recipient of money from lobbyists.

If you listen to the Democrats, all employers, regardless of size, would have to provide health care insurance for their employees. This will kill most small businesses with less than a couple of hundred employees.

If you actually listen and learn about the whole debate, you will learn that the hospital, doctor, nurse, and drug groups are supportive of reform. Who is not? The insurance companies, that's who. They have become the decider of who gets what health care and to what extent. That is why they are passing our the big bucks.

How can you "rush" something that is 30 years late?

If you are smart enough to know that it's not about healthcare, but rather about a socialist president wanting to control people, then you should be smart enough to be able to do something constructive about it. If not, then all you're really doing is shouting at the rain and looking quite pathetic doing so.

It is his job to keep the fire lit under Congress, if it is bad it is also his job to veto it and make them start over.

If you are one of the 46 million Americans without health ins. is there any reason to delay implementation of a national health ins program? NO!
If you are an insurance co. then of course delay... delay ,,,delay... maybe it'll go away. There are too many poor folks anyway. (The CEOs of the health industry need their 12 to 20 million dollar a year compensation.)
If you are a reasonable person, regardless of your insurance position, you see that the current system is an abject failure. Any policy that provides health care to more of our citizens is to the good and will ultimately lower the over all costs of providing medical care for our entire nation.

I am in Canada and although our health care system has it's problems it is fantastic to know people can go to the hospital and not get told to go home and die cause you don't have enough green in your pocket. It is the typical thing only the bad stuff is in the headlines and super imposed they seem to forget the millions who are saved everyday because they don't have to drop their wallets at the front desk during an emergency or have one accident and have to pay for it for the rest of their lives cause if you don't pay you lose.

Considering even he does not know all that is in the plan he is promoting, oh yea. If we want healthcare reform, great, but do it correctly. No more political battles and agendas, if it is good and you allow people to see and understand what is happening and what you are proposing it will be worth the wait. No one is denied a doctors care in the USA, it is part of the laws we have, you can not be turned away from the hospital no matter your ablility to pay. I know many doctors who have patients who will never pay. If this passes that will no longer be the case, someone else will decide if you are healthy enough to have a procedure of certian drugs. Your doctor will no longer have anysay over your care, it will be done by commitee. Have you seen goverment commitees decide things very quickly.

As the President said the other night, if you don't set a deadline in Washington, nothing will get done. The time line is flexable now and he has said not to hurry. But we know if no one pushes, nothing will be done.

NO! It is about 50 years too late as it is. It is bizarre how people defend the grotesque mess we have for health in this country. Americans spend more per capita on health care than ANY OTHER country on the planet. Yet we get mediocre results. We have tens of millions of people without insurance... many other people would lose what coverage they have if they lose their jobs... all this to keep the profits that insurance companies get as high as possible. Now the insurance companies are spending MILLIONS of dollars to fight any change.... while still denying claims. We NEED health insurance reform NOW!
