Do you think Valentine's Day should be banned for being insensitive to people that don't have that love of their life?

No...Valentine's day isn't just for couples it is a day to celebrate the love you have for your family and friends also. Call a friend, go for lunch or have a visit...and be thankful you have friends and family in your life to love and who love you.

No. You should just be happy for the people who do have love on Valentine's Day, because eventually it will be your turn, and you won't want anybody raining on your parade.

I don't see what the big deal is. If people want to get into Valentine's Day, who is it hurting? I don't really care for it, and all my boyfriend and I did was exchange cards, but I don't really understand why single people get all ****** about it. I've been single many a V Day and it never bothered me, it's just another day. It doesn't have to be about romantic love...like someone said before, you can use it as a day to express your love and appreciation for your family and your friends. If you don't want to, just ignore it! It's just another day.

I think it's an "interesting" thought for sure !!! As a matter of fact, for the most part, V-day, like ALL holidays really are "more-or less" commercial in nature. However, i think it comes down to individuals to deal with it in their own way and to celebrate it, if it means something to them, or not if that is their choice !
It is true that not everyone has that someone special in their life, and i guess V-Day makes it more poignant. Certainly for young people, that would be the case! I'm older and have reached the stage where it doesn't really bother me anymore. I'm not in a perfect relationship, nor do i expect to find it anymore, but i'm not without feelings... and can definitely see how it would affect some young people ! Maybe all holidays should be banned! then people could pick & chose their own ..and when & how to celebrate! Oh well...it's not a perfect world and we have to deal with it as it comes i guess. :))Like (1)

totally, that's whats anniversaries are for. V-day makes everyone seem like a jerk. If you have a love then you gotta keep it to yourself if your friends don't b/c it's rude and inconsiderate otherwise, if you don't have a love you don't want to hear about love. If both you and your friends have love then rather than it being a day about your love it's kinda a competition.

There should be a day for people who haven't found love, Instead banning the Valentin's day.

no, I just don't think you need one specific day to show a person you love them...when Vday was created it wasn't intended for capitalization.

No, it is the only day of the years it is considered ok to be openly bitter about being single.
I like being bitter, let's keep it!
