Do you think you are going to fall in love with someone you just know online and he/she is from another country?
Like for me, I've been chatting with a guy from USA. And he's in the army. We plan that after his deployment we are going to meet. Do you think i will believe him? He told me he will take me home when he's done with his mission. I like him, i sent him some stuffs to USA and a love letter just to make him feel that I'm serious and he's that special for me.

I am in the middle of an online love storm !!and whilst I do understand peoples sceptecism about how viable a relationship started online can lead to love believe me it can happen.
We are seperated by the Atlantic but will soon be meeting for the first time and I know it will be more mind blowing than the love we feel when we skype.
Good luck with meeting your guy, and remember true love can win outLike (4)

It sounds like you are setting yourself up for failure. Knowing someone in real life is important. As much as you may think you know someone by chatting them online, the truth is you only know what they tell you. You don't really get to see their true character. You'd stand a better chance of winning the Lotto than developing a meaningful relationship with someone that you only know online that lives far, far away.

It could happen but I can't even think about it as I am married..

I can't because I'm already in love :)
However, I think love requires much more than Internet and phone contact. You need to look at a person in the eyes, feel their hands, like them as a whole, and at the most different times of the day and year, in real life.
You can be attracted by a person and you can believe that you will meet, but true love is something deeper.Like (2)

Be sure to know him very in real life before getting dead serious to this guy. Just a thought of advice.

platonic yes. Attraction and falling in love are two different things.
You can have fondness that can develop in to love in the future. it has happened on the internet.Like (2)

No......I feel that people fall in love with the illusion of love, not the real person.

We "knew" each other about 5 months before meeting in person, but the first 2-3 of those months it was just as friends. (It was not a dating site.) When we finally met in person, the physical attraction was definitely there too. :-)Like (1)

Is that really possible? Don't we have to have the physical contact?
