I'm cautiously optimistic about people online at first, until they give me reason to think otherwise about them. However I am not naive.

I think you just need to rely on your intuition and be careful who you talk with, and what you say. Insincere people usually trip over their own lies eventually, so you're able to sift them out, strain them away and keep those who are sincere as online friends :)

not really, i usually prefer to know them in person to trust them, most people here seem genuine but i am not ready to divulge my deepest secrets.....the ones i omit even here. maybe with a little more time so we'll see.

Up to a point. As long as they stay online, I trust them more. Overall, I trust with a grain on salt.

No but depends on the feeling I get.
I have 3 great friends so easy to talk to. Do we tell each other everything nope. Are there lies .. yep... but not everything is easy.
But they are easy and fun to talk to. Down or up. I love those guys ♥ and I trust them as much as I can over the netLike (2)

I take everything I encounter online with a "grain of salt".
I continue to be amazed that people share so much of themselves and their personal information on the internet.
I realize a lot of it is desperation or just naivete, but you'd think after all the warnings and horror stories we hear, we'd learn.
I have met some very nice people online, but I keep all of that in perspective.
