I taught my step daughter a few skills & 1 by 1 she taught the bullies (male & female) not to mess with her. The school admins were not happy, but I asked if she had made them aware of the bully, & she had but they took no action to prevent future assaults on her. So they had to admit it was self defence & it only took the bullies one session of Wall-toWall counceling to learn the lesson

Yes as long as the child is the kind to learn. Some are just not suited for fighting. This defense is crap fighting is fighting. Teach them it's not the way settle things as an adult! That's very important! It's a completely different game!

Not necessarily. A good father teaches his kids to avoid trouble and to stand up for themselves when trouble finds them. A good father would kick someone's butt if they hurt his kids. Then, when they're old enough, he teaches them to handle problems on their own (not necessarily with violence).

My dad taught me that some problems can only be solved by fighting. I find that to be a true statement. Although in this day and age you can't settle your differences the old fashion way without fear of retaliation.

A good father teaches his child how to fight, how to build, how to read, how to think, how to play instruments, how to hunt, how to fish, and really everything else there is. A good father will give his child the tools necessary to survive in this world.
