Does any1 elese have an eee laptop (the really small ones) mine has crashed!!! says a file f is corrupt help!?

I have one. When you said your laptop crashed, I assume you mean that it does not boot.(or is File F a file on your computer that won't open?).

There are multiple eeePCs, but come in two versions, the linux version and the windows version. I don't think it matters, but I have the eeePC 900 running Linux.

Your eeePC came with CDs and a User Guide. On page 5-4 of my guide it has step by step instructions for how to reload the Operating System on your eeePC using another computer with a CD drive and a USB disk (larger than 1GB).

If you are using Windows XP page 6-2 has step by step instructions on how to reinstall Windows using a USB DVD drive.

If you don't have a USB DVD, you can get 5.25" drive enclosers and a DVD reader fairly cheap.

if you are using windows xp then boot up with your disc and then choose the 1st repair option. this will bring the machine into a "dos" like state and at the prompt type chkdsk /r this will repair any corrupt files and can take an hour or so to complete
