rub a few drops of jojoba oil into her hair then use a wide toothed comb..it's natural and nourishing...don't use too much.

Herbal Essence Twisted Curls silkening detangler in purple spray bottle. It worked like magic. I have really bad tangles in my hair after showering and the first time I used this I was so happy! I'd finally found something that worked. Kid stuff didn't do anything and it's hard to find adult kind. It was only like $3.50 and I think I'm going to stock up on it just in case because hair companies stop making things all the time. I swear this stuff works wonders on any style hair...

MY hair in down to my A** I use Ivory dish soap to wash it and Ausie 3 minute miricle for conditioner. I put it in and leave it for a minute, then I run my head under the shower (do not rinse it out until after you comb it), I run a comb through it, start at bottom work your way up.. you will have no problems

    Use a conditioner.

    Always...ALWAYS!!!!

Start combing the hair at the bottom/tips (as teatea29) said.
Then work your way upwards, until you reach the roots.

If you just start combing from the roots, toward the ends.....you create knots.

I've had very long hair most of my life.

ALWAYS START AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HAIR, AND WORK UPWARDS!

Try to pick through her hair As you are rinsing the conditioner. I like lantern curls.
