Does anybody practise yoga and is it good for depresiion and stress.?

yes, absolutley! i am a yoga teacher and you do not need to be young or flexible to do yoga- its so much more than the physical. Thre are a lot of different types of yoga so try a few out to see which one you like and find a teacher that you enjoy.

i cannot recommend it enough as it is such a holistic practice ie it works on a physical, mental and emotional level.

Any kind of exercise is great for helping with depression and stress. Yoga is relaxing and a great way to get into shape and boost your mood. If you're feeling stressed and depressed, try yoga, go for a walk, or just get your body moving in some way. You will feel better!!

yes and yes.

but then again, any exercise relieves stress. the endorphins, baby.

but i do definitely enjoy yoga class. hope you find a great instructor.

I am 52 and practice yoga every once in awhile-it does rlieve stress and like it cause it's easy and I know I am a large woman but it's easy for me to do. I also know that it's good for me. There are a couple of shows on t.v. and I do it with them.

yes....make sure you are quiet and if there is music let it be classical or nature like....its really relaxing!!!....me and my mum do it all the time

I've been trying to do it every morning. It does make me feel more awake and ready for the day.

At my age? Are you kidding? I can hardly bend over to put on my socks. If I gotta get into some pretzel shape, I'm gonna need some oil and 2 nurses with a crowbar to get me out of it.

Yoga is all about breathing, cleasing the soul, and balancing the chakra. So yes it helps. But don't expect to start yoga and everything will change. The point of it is to feel better from the inside out. And only you can completely do that.
