i read all the comments, and i can see where they're coming from..and they all have valid points...
i distinguish between true love and soulmates.
i have had true love, and it felt like....well if i had 2 weeks i'd still fail to describe it.
as far as soulmates..i'd rather not believe in them..the odds and chances are so low..and to believe that there is such a thing as to be classified higher than true love..well, it's hard to comprehend.
you see true love grows..and as such has to be fed...communication etc..basically some work involved.
soulmates...just are...its not work..the communication..sex everything just flows...they feed each otherand off of each other...its a thermite fire hot..yet comforting as a hug from god.
no one dares not wish for or hold out for it for themselves.
so just forget it...true love works just fine..especially if u've never seen soulmates.
you'll swear nothing can be greater..and those soulmate people are romantics on crack.
only one problem...if you've seen it...or even came close to getting a taste of it...
you can't possibly forget....and unlike true love..a lifetime to try and describe it fully and completely would surely fall short of saying...what those two people can in seconds...with a look, a kiss, and a hug.

i know its not what u'd expect to hear from a very sexual, kinky guy..which i am, but i am so much more...unortunately , or fortunately, one of the things i am is someone who has seen it and had a taste...love..true love..and soulmates.

Yes, I do still believe in true ultimate love. I was reunited with my first love from my teen years. She searched for me for 26 yrs. She never let go, I never stop searching for what ever it was that I was missing. For I had turned to drugs and alcohol. Since we have reunited, I have stopped using. We have been together and talked. We have had our closure and our love sealed with our final kiss. We are one in our hearts even though we can not live together, we can never be separated again. True love never lets go, true love never dies, true love is forever and always. This I have lived, this I have seen the power of love, this I carry close to my heart and will never let go. I am whole again. Forever and always.

TRUE love is only possible if BOTH partners want it to be true love! :-)

Yes I do. I am lucky enough to have found mine. It is hard to find and I think that's why the answers go both ways. Those of us lucky enough to find it obviously believe in true love/soulmates and it would be hard to believe if you hadn't found yours.

No, it's nothing but a fantasy. No one is perfect and no one is perfect for you. All relationships that last the long term have their ups and downs and require great committment. All successful relationships are about how much both parties are willing to compromise. People who believe in fantasies about ultimate love usually end up very disappointed and lonely in life.

I think young love is like that. Although it's also partly hormonal. As you get older, you're mind has to spend more time on serious matters so it's harder to be that overtaken by love.
