Resolved Question

Does anyone else dilute their kids drinks?

I find that the store bought juices are just too sweet and anytime we go out or even at home I dilute them by adding water. I've done this since they were small and now they are so used to it. I even dilute the already made chocolate milk. I have to add extra milk cause I just think it's too chocolaty. Does anyone else do this?

No I never did,I don't see any point in it.
As far as diluting juice and milk,to me that would be taking everything out that they would needing along with the sugar.

I don't have kids, but I do that for myself with certain drinks, namely orange juice.

lol Kavooki,
No.. my sister in laws do this.. and suggest I do the same with my boys .. I think it's lame.. I can't help but think. then why bother? I tell my son to drink a cup of water first then he can a cup of juice or chocolate milk.

yes, because it's too sweet, and also makes the bottle of juice last longer

I do it with my young daughters juice because she is not overly fond of me brushing her new teeth and won't let me do it for long. This is a recommended practice for avoiding dental caries in children.

Yes, the doctor says juice has too much sugar... Vitamin water has too much acid. I add water to both.
