I see lots of people in very unhealthy emotional states. It's better than nothing, but it doesn't have that nice community feeling. If you do need to recover emotionally, this could be a bad place to be. Most of the content is pointless, that's got to drive you crazy.

Exactly - so am guessing you dip on this once every few months too? The bulk of the content is sickness and therefore you have to assume that this site allows and encourages it all - which is why I dont use it and just came to ask this. Otherwise yes - to the sane mind it by definition must be depressing. I think the good/moral/sane/intelligent person gets off this soon and the person already lost to mindless conformity/evil wallows in the shite.

I find it hard to agree with any of your opinion. I do know that a busy, working person can't use it very much. I actually never found it until after my accident. But I prefer to think that I'm fairly intelligent and sane and I enjoy the mindless questions. If I'm thinking about something else - anything else - I am focusing on something other than pain and depression. So go back to hidey-hole and let us be.

No, I find it incredibly amusing. Seeing how stupid Americans are really is quite entertaining. I accept this site may not be the best representation of American soceity, especially the intelligensia but those who are on it are without doubt some of the dumbest, most ignorant and most misinformed people I have ever come across. That provides a lot of entertainment.

Funny you should say that - because I feel guilty for thinking the same thing - as am really a modest person and just feeling superior isnt an answer - to have empathy with the ignorant must be depressing eventually - and I didnt necessarily say I was (I would just not use this - which I mostly dont) Yeah - you have to remind yourself that it cant be representative of all americans - but tragically it is representing a good majority and also you are right to say it is really an american site - so a cultural vacuum - without the conception that reality has something more profound or meaningful - and no sense of irony that the only [pseudo] spiritual writings are bitter or arrogant religious fools who are never going to question anything either. I see what you are saying - but entertainment? For how long? A lot of satire I used to find funny but at some point we out grow it and realise that - if this is satire - why are we sitting and relieving the anger with laughter not revolution?

    I agree with you.
I've met people with more problems than the soldiers in WWII.
But then, that's what this site is all about.

I haven't been on here long enough and I have an actual life outside of cyberspace that I focus on more that some randomperson/troll who attacks others. I'm never going to meet that person in life so why should I waste precious time worrying about what that person thinks and dwell on it when I have about a billion other much more important things to do. I tend not to get involved in the drama, I just keep it light. I'll eventually move on, as this was in all honesty never a long term commitment. Im sorry that you find this site not to your liking.

It helps with my depression. Gives me an outlet. If you don't use this site, why are you here, asking questions, Mr. Troll?
