Does anyone else smoke just for the hell of it?

The only people I know that smoke are addicts...They smoke because they need to suppress a craving before they get all cranky-wanky.

I'm not asking about social smokers - people that only smoke because other people are lighting up, but anyone that goes out for a walk just to enjoy the fresh air and a ciggy? Yes, I can see the irony in that.

JojoWazoo	Posted Mar 20th, 2009 at 7:44AM I have severe asthma so I'd probably die trying to smoke a cigarette (or anything else for that matter). The smell is repulsive to me. You smell repulsive to me after you've smoked and it's on your clothes and in your hair. Well, no, not you personally but you get my drift! Blah! Gross Rated: +2Vote for this!
void00	Posted Mar 20th, 2009 at 11:45AM The few occasions when I've smoked I've been a willing victim of peer pressure. I mean, why would you roll up tobacco in a piece of paper, put it in your mouth, set light to it and then inhale the noxious fumes? It defies credulity. Rated: +1Vote for this!
geenpunchbuggie	Posted Mar 20th, 2009 at 9:09AM i actually do that... i mean i used to smoke about a pack a day but little by little i cut down. now i might have one or two cigarettes in a day, maybe none if i don't have the opportunity. i enjoy smoking. some people think it is gross... but oh well! boarderline	Posted Mar 20th, 2009 at 10:34AM I live in IL. If you want a cigarette here, you have to go outdoors to enjoy the fresh air. Public smoking indoors is illegal! I started smoking just for the hell of it, 30 years ago, I'm still hooked on this nasty tobacco! Rated: +1Vote for this!

I am more of a social smoker when my buddies and I go to the bar or hang out, but there are times when I just buy a pack and sit outside to smoke and relax. I dont have an addictive personality but I think its okay once in a while. Rated: +1Vote for this!
unicorn59	Posted Mar 20th, 2009 at 12:25PM No...I never started to smoke...and I never will....It's a nasty habit....besides, I am allergic to cigarette smoke....I have watched family members struggle with the addiction of nicotine and tar....had an uncle die of lung cancer, from smoking.....I just never could understand why someone would do that to their own body.
